Shaking up the Art Routine

with some cloud gazing in between
2

Hello beautiful people,

It’s a transitional time in the studio. The mornings still hold the steady warmth of late summer, now laced with a brisk fall breeze that whips through the sunroom as I sit on the meditation cushion, still dark, windows wide open.

Windows wide open is a good expression for where my spirit and my work are pointing right now. I just feel the desire to get up, get out, shake up the daily routines, and follow some new inspiration, wherever it may lead.

From a business perspective, fall is also a time when things pick up again. I know this to be true, but when work starts to come in again it always brings with it a sigh of relief, and even a welcoming of deadlines and more structured days.

I find that the introduction of more structured time into my routine after a particularly unstructured summer is changing my relationship with all sorts of things. One of the most welcome benefits is that it has become a treat to work on my own body of work.

That is where you find me, this Sunday. I would love to know what you have going on in your studios, gardens, and lives if you would like to share!
