Hello beautiful people,
Today I’m getting ready for a studio visit and figuring out how to display all of the work that I’ve been creating over the past nine months or so. If you have been following along you will have seen a lot of this in progress!
Lately I have been asking myself whether capturing the creative process is an addition or a distraction, and the answer is not so straightforward. Sometimes, especially when I am in the unknown phase of creation, adding the extra layer of filming actually changes my relationship with what I’m creating. It is almost like neither of us want to be perceived, when we are in that liminal state of “becoming.”
But in this case, it made the process a lot more enjoyable, as I felt like I had someone to talk through decisions with. So, thank you for listening. :)
